Durrr Challenge Update – Antonius Takes the Lead
On Friday night Tom Dwan and Full Tilt pro Patrik Antonius clashed again to log another 425 hands in the Durrr Challenge. This time it was Antonius that won all the major pots of the evening amassing a $161,086 profit.
The first big pot of the evening came early on. They got all their money in on the turn with Dwan ahead holding a set. Antonius had all the draws though with an open ended straight draw as well as a flush draw. He hit on the river to take down the $80,399 pot.
The next hand worth noting on the evening was worth $90,399 to Antonius. On a board of J-5-4-10-J, Antonius raised on the river after spending some time in the tank. Dwan called only to see Antonius table J-10-10-4 for the nut full house.
The last sizeable pot of the evening was taken by Antonius as he steamed ahead in the session. On a Qc-6s-5c board the players put all their money in the middle. Antonius was way ahead with his two pair and higher flush draw. He ended up hitting the flush on the river to take down the $155,683 pot.
So far the players have logged 5,517 hand of the required 50,000 to determine a winner. They have been playing for about 17 hours and have wagered an astonishing $31,340,380. Dwan has won the most pots after winning 3,010 of them to Antonius’ 2,487. At the end of play on Friday night Antonius was ahead overall by $107,445.
