ECOOP IV Wraps Up, Titan Poker Awards $4,550,000

Titan Poker’s fourth European Championship of Online Poker finished up last Sunday and ECOOP IV was a smashing success for the site and the players alike.

One player in partcular, Omaha pro John O’Shea, made a remarkable showing, winning two of the series’ 14 events. Under the username doesalrite, O’Shea swept both big Omaha events, Day Nine’s $100,000 Guarantee, PLO Hi/LO and Day Thirteen’s $150,000 Guarantee PLO, totalling $65,500 in winnings from the two events.

Titan Poker can consider the event a success as, in a day when big poker giants like Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker are suffering overlays galore for their big Sunday tournaments, the site made most of its guarantees for the 14 ECOOP IV events handily. Nine of them, in fact, awarded a prize pool larger than the stated guarantee.

The crowning event of this $4,550,000 series was the main event, of course, the No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament held on the final day of the series. The winner, walking away with the $330,000 grand prize, was Kaishi. Runner-up, for $180,000, was aVLs85s. And rounding out the top tier was third place finisher PlayingHard2Get who won played hard enough to get $120,000 of the $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool.

Two other exciting events in ECOOP IV were Day Seven and Eight’s two $500,000 Guarantees. oleg12345 won the first, for $114,975, and Domceee won the second, for $145,800.

Stay tuned as Titan Poker will no doubt be announcing the schedule for ECOOP V and all the satellite qualifiers leading up to it.
