Full Tilt Poker Under Investigation? Not Exactly…But Yes

You may have heard through the electronic grapevine that Full Tilt Poker is under investigation by a US Grand Jury. This article is aimed at all you Full Tilt Poker players and might-be players who would let this type of news shake you from giving one of the world’s most popular online poker rooms your business. You see, the investigation isn’t centered on FullTilt per se. It’s being focused…get this…on Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and Howard “The Professor” Lederer.

The charges are money laundering, which – if they are true – would only succeed in making FullTilt Poker about as guilty of involvement as the washing machine in washing your clothes. Who’s washing the clothes? You or the machine?

The point is that Full Tilt Poker, as with any big and successful organization, is constantly in the spotlight for negative buzz sometimes as well as positive. Last year they got sued by Clonie Gowen, who thought she deserved 1% ownership of the company. Her case was dismissed. The poker TV show Full Tilt sponsored called Face the Ace was under FBI investigation for copyright infringement. Do any of these sound like reasons to deprive yourself of some of online poker’s hottest action? Clearly we don’t think so.

Howard Lederer and Chris Ferguson are icons of the poker world, and while they’d certainly be smart enough to pull something like this off, whether they did or not isn’t anybody’s bet. And ours is No.

But regardless, Full Tilt Poker remains one of the most rewarding poker sites to play at online, and for that reason alone there will no doubt be other news in the future of yet another attempt to put that on tilt.
