Halfway Through, Pros Dominate FTOPS XIII

For a while now, relatively uknown amateur or newly-turned-pro poker players, most of whom got their feet wet in online poker, have getting all the press for their surprising accomplishments on the poker tournament field, but in the latest running of one of online poker’s biggest series – the 13th Full Tilt Online Poker Series – it’s the big name pros who are turning the tables now, dominating the online felt.

The FTOPS XIII is only halfway done, but already we see some familiar names in prize-winning positions. For one, Kevin Saul – who goes by the screen name “getPWN3D” online – won the $216 Pot Limit Mixed Games Event, taking the $57,640 prize.

Full Tilt’s own Andy Bloch, meanwhile, was runner-up in last Friday’s $216 7-Card Stud event, for $17,081.60. But Bloch wasn’t even the most successful Full Tilt Red Pro in this year’s series so far.

Isaac Baron, meanwhile, made the final table in the 6-Max Holdem event and cashed in two others, giving him the biggest score in FTOPS XIII so far, at some $28,000.

Finally, Craig Gray (aka “MrsESPN”) took second place and Alex Kamberis (aka “AJKHoosier1″) won fifth place in the $535 Heads-Up No Limit Holdem event.

As we said, it’s only halfway through, and there are still several more events left to play in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series 13. And it’s especially not too late to get into the FTOPS XIII Main Event, as it’s still several days away: running this Sunday, August 16. The buy-in is $535 but you may still be able to catch yourself a free seat in a satellite if you hurry.
