Kiwi Poker and Prestige Poker Closed to New Players

Recently, the online poker sites Kiwi Poker and Prestige Poker began referring all new players to CD Poker.  It has been confirmed by Poker News Daily that the two poker rooms have indeed closed their doors.

All three online poker sites are operated by the same parent company, William Hill. The parent company (William Hill) stated that they have decided to focus all of their resources into marketing and operating their main properties; CD Poker, William Hill, and PokerRoomSchool.

Existing Kiwi Poker and Prestige Poker players are still able to log in to their existing accounts and play poker as normal through their respective poker downloads.  All new visitors to Kiwipoker.com or Prestigepoker.com are currently being redirected to the CDpoker.com website.  They have stated that this is a temporary solution and that they are working on a better long term strategy currently.  Kiwi Poker, Prestige Poker and CD Poker all are part of the iPoker network.

The iPoker network has the third largest online poker traffic, behind only Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker with more  than 30,000 players at peak times.  William Hill is set to launch their flagship poker room on the iPoker network in the first quarter of 2009.  William Hill currenty is a part of the CryptoLogic network, which is considerably smaller than the iPoker network both in terms of player traffic and number of member poker sites. The iPoker Network includes other notable poker sites such as Titan Poker, Chili Poker, Sun Poker, Noble Poker, Mansion Poker, and VC Poker.
