Poker Stars WCOOP 2010 Schedule Out
Poker Stars has just put out the schedule for its next World Championship of Online Poker. The 2010 WCOOP will take place at PokerStars between September 5 and 26. It will be made up of 62 events–17 more than last year. The guaranteed prize pool for the entire series has not been determined yet, but with last year’s figure at $50 million, one can only imagine what the site has in store for this year’s bigger, better WCOOP.
The main event of the 2010 PokerStars WCOOP has a $5,200 buy-in and will happen on September 26 (or at least that’s the “penciled in” date. The 2009 WCOOP main event winner was Yevgeniy Timoshenko. When this year’s series launches on September 5, players will have the chance to compete in not one but three different events taking place all on the same day, including the first of the two-day events.
And although all these opening events are in No Limit Hold’em, the 2010 WCOOP schedule also includes games of Omaha, Stud, Single Draw and Triple Draw, Eight-Game Mixed, Five Card Draw, HORSE, and Badugi. There will be a variety of gaming styles as well, including turbo, rebuys, 6-max and 10-max, ante up, heads-up, 10-minute and 15-minute levels, high/low, Pot Limit, Fixed Limit, and more.
Nearly ever day in the period between September 5 and 26 features three WCOOP events.
Satellites into the PokerStars 2010 WCOOP will be taking place at the site throughout the summer leading up to the big series.
