PokerStars European Poker Tour Season 6 Schedule is Out

It’s time for another season of the PokerStars European Poker Tour, and the schedule for the sixth season of this series, boasting the largest payouts of non U.S.-based live poker tournaments, has just been released.

The past five seasons of the European Poker Tour have witnessed numerous record breaking player fields and prize pools, and this year aims to be no different. One of those records came last year when the EPT overshadowed the WPT in terms of both prizes awarded €55 million (approximately $77 million) and players competing (7,980 players from just under 100 countries). This season, Poker Stars promises a vaster mix of game types and buy-in levels, opening up the field a wider array of players.

Kicking off August 18 in Moscow, Russia, with EPT Moscow – one of the two new stops on the tour – the schedule also includes tournaments in Barcelona, London, Warsaw, Prague, and the other newest addition to the EPT itinerary, Portugal, with EPT Vilamoura. In all, the PokerStars EPT will stop at 13 countries this 6th season of the series. Also added to the schedule will be a new high-roller’s event in London, England

PokerStars has already begun its ongoing series of satellites awarding free seats in these events (along with accommodations and travel and expense money), with EPT Moscow satellites running now.

While this season’s Grand Final will still take place in Monte Carlo, three of the EPT events on the Season 6 schedule offer the biggest prize pools of any live poker tournament occuring outside the United States, those being EPT Barcelona, EPT San Remo, and EPT Caribbean Adventure.
