PokerStars All Star Week
This week PokerStars announced that they will be running the PokerStars All Star Week promotion. This unique promotion gives players at PokerStars the opportunity to compete heads-up with the best poker players in the world. PokerStars will be assembling a team of the elite players on their website to team up and take on team PokerStars.
To be eligible to play in the PokerStars All Star Week there you will either have to have had significant success in the past or win a wild card seat. When we talk about past success we’re talking about; winning a Sunday Milion tournament in 2008, finishing high on the Yearly Tournament Leader Board, reached Supernova Elite or made the final table of a WCOOP Event. Every player that is selected to play in the PokerStars All Star Week will be rewarded with a $1050 SCOOP All Stakes Main Event ticket.
If you want to gain a wild card entry into this tournament you can qualify for as little as $11. If you do qualify though, it won’t be an easy road to success. PokerStars boasts the best players in the world with seasoned pros on the books like Joe Hachem, Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker, Victor Ramdin and Daniel Negreanu. If you excel during this tournament if you happen to qualify PokerStars will be giving away a PokerStars Passport to the MVP. In total there will be 35 matches with prizes exceeding $20,000. This promotion will be running from March 23-29 starting at 12:00 ET.
