Qualifiers have begun for the 2010 Aussie Millions, and not a moment too soon, with the event only around the corner, coming up on January 14 and running through the 31st.

The series consists of 20 events, all held at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, widely hailed to be the center of the gambling world in the southern hemisphere.

The grand prize of the 2010 Aussie Millions is AUD $2.5 million.

Among the sites offering qualifiers into the 2010 Aussie Millions are:

  • Full Tilt Poker – a bunch $535 NL Holdem events with $14,500 (or AUD $15,000) prize packages up for grabs, including 3 with at least 1 prize package awarded at each (Dec. 5, Dec. 19, Jan. 2), 2 with at least 2 prize packages awarded at each (Dec 12, Dec. 26), and 1 on Jan. 9 with at least 5 prize packages being awarded; satellites into these qualifiers have buy-ins starting at 50 Full Tilt Points or 50 cents
  • Party Poker – where last year’s $1,303,611 first place Aussie Millions winner and this year’s defending champ, Stewart Scott, won his seat from (and is now reigning PartyPoker.com Australia Ambassador), is now running qualifiers for the event, with 25 prize packages up for grabs (including 1 saved just for a Canadian player), with buy-ins as low as $1 and PartyPoints freerolls leading up to a $640 December 13 final

Get yourself in the game now over at Party Poker and Full Tilt Poker and you could find yourself in the Las Vegas of the bottom half of the globe competing for $2.5 million.
