Starting February 1, Poker Stars is offering a choice of qualifiers, both freerolls and direct cash buy-in qualifiers with low buy-ins. And U.S. online poker players will be ecstatic to hear that this promotion is only open to them.
Exclusively for U.S. residents, the Poker Stars NHL Awards with the Dallas Stars promotion sends the winner of the low buy-in and freeroll qualifier series to a Grand Final tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 4.
At the Grand Final, you’ll play poker against NHL stars like Brett Hull and Team PokerStars Pro players like Daniel Negreanu (of FOX TV’s PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge). The winner will receive an NHL Awards prize package that includes tickets for you and 3 friends to the NHL Awards Ceremony.
The Royal Street Poker prize package includes flights, accommodations, and spending cash.
Players who make it to the Grand Finals as well as those who make it to the Semi Finals will also win cool gear from the Dallas Stars.
The NHL Awards freeroll round 1 qualifiers are Monday through Friday at 8 pm ET, with the top 90 players advacing to the round 2 semi-finals. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm ET will be the $1.10 buy-in round 1 qualifier with 1 seat in the Grand Final awarded for every 5 players.
The Semi Finals will take place at 9 pm ET on Sundays February 14 and 28, and March 14 and 28. The top 50 in each will advance to the Grand Final.
The Grand Final takes place at 21:00 ET on Sunday April 4. The winner will be awarded the NHL Las Vegas prize package, and the top 5 will also get Dallas Stars merchandise.
