Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot Struck: Pays Out Nearly $750K
Carbon Poker’s Bad Beat Jackpot just got hit–paying out to the tune of $734,542.27.
The “losing” hand was four-of-a-kind Sevens, but it landed the “loser”, Ween10, $257,089.81. Not a bad loss! The winner of the hand, kdawg1979, with four-of-a-kind Queens, not only won the $60.92 pot that was at stake but also the second largest share of the Bad Beat Jackpot, $128,544.90.
That left $128,544.85 for the remaining 7 players in the hand to split evenly, working out to 18,363.55 per player.
Ween10’s quad-7’s was actually the lowest hand that could possibly qualify for the Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot. It also happens to be the lowest minimum qualifying hand for a Bad Beat Jackpot of any poker site on the web.
This is the second Bad Beat Jackpot awarded on Carbon Poker this year, the last one being $1.2 million hit on February 13 by a student in New York who took home more than $400,000 for his “loss”. Now that’s a Happy Valentine’s Day Eve if ever there was one.
In order to be eligible for any part of a Bad Beat Jackpot, a player must be playing at a table specifically labeled as a Bad Beat Table.
At the time of this writing, the Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot has already climbed to $149,385.03. That’s already nearly $150K and it’s only just restarted.
Carbon Poker gets its name for the environmental example it sets by running a completely carbon-neutral operation since 2006.
