EPT London Schedule Out Now

Now that the WSOP is virtually at an end, with all of us in limbo until November, waiting to find out who’ll win it all, what is the poker world to do with its time. Indeed, September and October might be unendurable for poker lovers (players and fans alike) if it weren’t for merry ole London, England, which for those two months of the year takes the poker limelight away from Vegas and attracts the highest high-rollers in the poker world.

First off, there’s the WSOP Europe, to be held this year from September 18 to October 1. Then there’s the European Poker Tour London event, the schedule for which has just been announced. The EPT London Main Event will take place on October 2 and 3, with the final table being held on October 7.

It’s no accident that the EPT London was scheduled that way, aiming to catch the interest of all those WSOP Europe players while they’re still in town.

EPT London 2009 will open with a bang – kicking off with the 3-day high-rollers £20,000 event. There are 14 events in all in this years EPT London, including several newly introduced events, such as: £1,000 Six-Handed NL Holdem, £1,000 Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better, and £2,000 European Eight-Game Championship.

The buy-in for the Main Event is £5,000 – but players can win their seat and an all-expenses (or most expenses, really) paid trip there through a Bodog Poker or Poker Stars satellite.

Note the change of venue this year from last year’s host, the Grosvenor Victoria Hotel to this year’s host, the London Hilton Metropole Hotel.
