European Poker Tour Schedule Released
The seventh European Poker Tour is coming, starting this summer, which means the satellite tournaments at Poker Stars to get free seats in the EPT VII events start event sooner, in this case mid-June. In all this season, the PokerStars EPT promises to award at least EU56 million in cash winnings.
The kickoff event for EPT VII will be the EPT Estonia event in Tallinn on August 11th through the 16th. After that is the Portugal stop, which will be in Vilamoura from August 28th to September 2nd. As in year’s past many of the loyal players on the EPT tour’s favorite spots will be visited, like Barcelona, Spain; Deauvill, France; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Prague. Two stops at the end of the tour have been mentioned but not scheduled. One of them is the EPT San Remo and the other is to take place at an as yet undisclosed location. The EPT VII schedule also features the favored Festival of Poker in London September 29th through October 4th.
This season’s EPT will also include one of the tour’s flagship event, the PCA or PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, taking place January, 2011. Following the PCA will be other highlight events like the Austrian Snowfest in Saalbach-Hinterglemm at the Alpine Ski Resort March 20th through the 25th.
The satellites that PokerStars offers into these various European Poker Tour events are no joke. Last year a player named Nicolas “niccc” Chouity who qualified for the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final via a $22 buy-in PokerStars satellite won EU1.7 million at the event.
