Full Tilt Poker Brings Back Poker Million IX
Full Tilt Poker is bringing back the Poker Million, making this the ninth running of the high-stakes televised poker tournament, or Poker Million IX.
Full Tilt Poker’s Poker Million IX with take place in the UK at the Sky Sports Studios. It is, as always, an invitational event with 48 players competing in 6 heats to raech the final table and ultimately, the $500,000 grand prize. One of the players in each of the heats will be a satellite tournament winner from Full Tilt Poker.
The initial 3 heats will take place from July 26 – 28. They will be 8-handed events, with each tournament’s winner advancing to the Poker Million IX final table which will take place in December, ‘10 and be made up of the 6 winners of each of the heats, the winner of a second chance Sit and Go set for October between all the runners-up from the 6 preliminary heats, and an online qualifier from a Full Tilt Poker Satellite.
Facing off in Heat #1 will be Full Tilt Poker pros Annette “Annette_153″ Obrestad, Roberto Romanello, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, and Erik Seidel, as well as Ross Boatman, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Howard “The Professor” Lederer, Greg Mueller, Stuart “TrickyRock” Rutter.
Confirmed so far for the second heat are Full Tilt Poker pros Barny Boatman, Gavin Smith, and Patrik Antonius, as well as Neil Channing, and Party Poker pros Tony Bloom and Tony G.
The online qualifier in the Poker Million IX from Full Tilt will be doubly disadvantaged by also holding the short stack of 150,000 starting chips to the seven pro’s 300,000.
