Introducing The Poker Stars Turbo Takedown: $1 Million Guaranteed

Poker Stars is running a brand new online poker tournament promotion called The Turbo Takedown.

The Turbo Takedown will take place once each month and entry will be by Frequent Player Points (FPPs) only – that means there will be no cash buy-ins to The Turbo Takedown. It’s all about how much you play at PokerStars throughout the month.

The Turbo Takedown is the latest PokerStars tournament to offer a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. But that’s not all. In line with its name, The Turbo Takedown offers way more prizes than just the $1 million guarantee – it also has plenty of knockout bounties and special bonuses, including a brand new car to the month’s biggest winner. The bounties are $100 each for knocking out any PokerStars Pro registered for the tournament. The car in question is a Audi TT RS Coupe, though PokerStars is also giving those winners the option of taking a cash equivalent instead. There are also cash bonuses for cashing in multiple tournaments, with the possibility of earning up to $1,000 extra from this bonus alone.

It will take place on the last Sunday of each month at 3:30 pm ET. The player pool is capped at 25,000; 5,000 of whom will end in-the-money. The buy-in is 3,000 FPPs. But as you might expect, PokerStars is also holding ample satellite tournaments awarding free entry into the end-of-the-month’s Turbo Takedown.
