MiniFTOPS Starts Tonight

Full Tilt Poker’s 17th semi-annual (that’s twice yearly) Full Tilt Online Poker Series may have come to an end, but its smaller sibling, the Mini Full Tilt Online Poker Series XVII, is only just beginning…tonigh, in fact!

Tonight, Wednesday, September 8, sees the start of the latest MiniFTOPS, this go-round featuring 34 events played over the course of 11 days, the tournament schedule mirroring that of the FTOPS XVII, only with smaller buy-ins and prize pools. The great thing about the MiniFTOPS, though, is that the prize pools aren’t decreased nearly as much as the buy-ins, which are only 1/10th that of their respective FTOPS XVII counterparts.

The pinnacle event of the Full Tilt Poker MiniFTOPS XVII is the $1 million guaranteed main event, with only a $75 buy-in. Just before the start of the main event is another major tournament on every FTOPS and MiniFTOPS schedule, and that’s the high-rollers’ two-day event. For the MiniFTOPS XVII, the two-day event costs $216 to get in on, and boasts a $600,000 guaranteed prize pool.

On top of the prize money that comes with cashing in any MiniFTOPS tournament, players making any MiniFTOPS XVII final table will get a limited edition jacket, and players winning MiniFTOPS XVII events will get a limited edition jersey.

Keep in mind, all you financially crunched would-be players, even though after tonight the action in Full Tilt Poker’s MiniFTOPS XVII will already be underway, you can still win free seats in the event through satellite tournaments still taking place throughout the series over at FullTilt. That is, if the low buy-ins aren’t low enough for you.
