Party Poker Now Running New Genius Promotion: Bonuses Every 50,000th Hand
There’s a new promotion going at Party Poker, as of today Monday, June 6 at midnight ET. Called The Genius Promotion, the idea is that Party Poker will dole out a bonus to the players in every 50,000th hand. The bonus amount will be equivalent to the given hand’s final pot squared (or multiplied by itself; i.e. $5 x $5 = $25).
There are, of course, some exceptions. On the negative side, the maximum bonus amount is capped at $5,000, which means that any pot larger than $71 still only racks up a $5,000 bonus. On the positive side, any bonus that turns out to be less than $100 is automatically propped up to that $100 mark.
In addition, every millionth hand will be worth at least a $10,000 bonus, and the final hand of the Genius Promotion, the 10,000,000th hand will be worth a bonus of at least $100,000.
Qualifying tables are any with blinds of at least $01.0-$0.25 in No Limit and Pot Limit Holdem, Seven-Card Stud, and Pot Limit Omaha, and any with blinds of at least $0.25-$0.50 in Limit Holdem. Heads-up games are not eligible.
Interested parties can follow all the action of the Genius Promotion on the PartyPoker website (although the Flash part of the tracker apparently doesn’t work on Firefox web browsers). You can see each of the bonus-earning hands, and you see how many have been won and the total bonus amount awarded so far.
All the participants in the winning hand will divide the bonus equally, while the winner of the hand will also take the original pot amount.
