PartyPoker 2010 Aussie Millions Qualifiers Begin
Party Poker has started holding qualifier tournaments for the 2010 Aussie Millions. And there’s not just one Aussie Millions prize package up for grabs, but 25!
Qualifiers start November 1 with buy-ins as low as $1 with winners climbing the ladder of higher stake qualifiers until reaching one of two final satellites.One of the satellites is scheduled for players from Australia and New Zealand and is awarding 5 Aussie Millions prize packages that are worth $12,000 in total, while the other satellite is scheduled for the rest of the world and has 20 prize packages worth $15,000 in total up for grabs. Each prize package is highlighted by a free seat at the Aussie Millions main event in 2010.
Direct buy-in for the two big final satellites, both to be held on Sunday, December 13, is $600 + $40.
The 2010 Aussie Millions will be held in January of 2010 in Melbourne, Australia and the main event has a guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million.
Winner of the 2009 Aussie Millions was Stewart Scott, who also earned with his win the title of PartyPoker.com Australian Ambassador. Every Tuesday and Thursday at 4:05 am ET, he will be participating in the $64+$6 Aussie Millions Australia New Zealand Friendly Satellite Qualifier where there will be a $70 bounty on his head.
Also, on November 15 and again on December 6 will be a Stewart Scott Aussie Millions Special, each with a low $6 + $1 buy-in, each awarding a seat in the $640 final satellite. Runner up gets a $128 qualifier seat and third place gets a $70 qualifier seat.
