PKR Improves Tournament Schedule
PKR Poker has given its tournament schedule an overhaul, as per the sole 3-D online poker site’s latest announcement. The goal? It appears it’s to draw in as many different types of players at as many different skill and stakes levels as possible.
The plan? Mostly its higher guarantees and new tourneys at different levels, but that’s not all.
Two long-cherished PKR tournaments – the $30,000 GTD High Rollers tourney and the $100,000 PKR Masters – will alternate weeks, giving each month two $30,000 GTD High Roller tournaments and two $100,000 PKR Masters making for a monthly guarantee between just those two events $260,000.
Returning to the PKR tournament schedule will be the once favorite $100 Grand Prix tournaments (that’s $100 buy-in, not the total prize pool).
Low stakes online poker players, meanwhile, will have more opportunities to win seats in the larger stakes tournaments with more low-cost satellites on the schedule, with buy-ins below $5.
Omaha lovers will also appreciate that there are now a greater concentration of Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better scheduled tournaments, big buy-in events, and larger guarantees.
Other changes to the PKR schedule:
* New $30,000 PKR Primetime #7 at 19:25 GMT and daily satellites into the event for under $3
* Daily $2 rebuy on the $5,000 GTD Gold Rush at 20:50 GMT every day
