Poker Bloggers: Enter The 2010 Poker Stars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker

The Poker Stars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker is back! And it’s just around the corner.

The 2010 WBCOOP starts with 6 preliminary tournaments to be held January 25 – 30, with the main event taking place January 31. Bloggers are welcome to enter all 6 prelim events plus the main event now. Registration for the 2010 WBCOOP is officially open, and it best of all it is free for all bloggers to register. Of course, your blog and blogger-status has to be verified in order for you to qualify. Eligible blogs must have been online for at least 2 months prior to registration and be updated on a regular basis (which means that blogs started for the purpose of being able to enter this competition do not qualify).

The hope, of course, is that entrants will blog about the upcoming competition and their participation in it, as well as blog about it during the event itself. Poker Stars hosts the WBCOOP free for bloggers each year for this very purpose – free advertising. And it must be working well for the site, because as you can see, it has returned the series to its schedule for another year.

Among the prizes being handed out to the online poker writers of the world in the 2010 WBCOOP are free seats in this year’s Spring Championship of Online Poker, as well as SCOOP Steps satellite tickets. Spot prizes will be awarded throughout the event as well, for the best live Twitter and blog posts that come out about the tournament during the tournament.
