Poker Stars 2010 SCOOP One-Week Away
There’s only one week left until Poker Stars SCOOP 2010, the world’s largest poker site’s eagerly-anticipated Spring Championship of Online Poker, this year worth a total guaranteed prize pool of $45 million.
As in recent years’ past, one of the unique features that makes the 2010 Spring Champinship of Online Poker so spectacular is that it offers 3 stakes levels of every event the series contains—in other words, there will be a Low, Mid, and High stakes range for each event, with buy-ins and prize pools adjusted correspondingly.
For example, when the 2010 PokerStars SCOOP kicks off on May 2, it’ll be with a 6-max NL Hold’em match with buy-ins of, respectively from lowest stakes to highest: $22, $215, and $2,100.
The PokerStars SCOOP 2010 takes place between May 2 and May 16, and is comprised of 38 events, including matches not only in Hold’em but in Stud, Omaha, HORSE, Razz, and 2-7 Triple Draw. There’s even an 8-Game mixed event. And because of the tiered stakes levels, you can participate in all the fun, no matter what your bankroll.
Some of the more special events on the Spring Championship of Online Poker 2010 that are bound to be particularly popular include a heads-up event each in NL Hold’em and PL Omaha, as well as several 2-day events, starting with the $2 million guaranteed Event #2 of the series.
On May 8 there is a trio events, corresponding to each stakes level—a Double Shootout, a Triple Shootout, and a Quadruple Shootout.
The crowning event of the 2010 SCOOP is, of course, the Main Event. At the lowest level, the guaranteed prize pool is $1 million, and at the highest level, that’s just the prize for first place! Mid-level guaranteed prize pool for the Main Event is $3 million and for the high-stakes main event it’s a total $5 million guaranteed prize pool.
