Poker Stars EPT Caribbean Adventure & Satellites Schedules Out
As PokerStars celebrates record turnout at its EPT London Main Event, the leading poker site is gearing up for one of its biggest land-based tournaments of each year, an event cosponsored by the European Poker Tour known as the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
The schedules for both the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure event and satellites into the event have both been released. The 2010 EPT Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure will take place between January 4 and 12 at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino which is located on Paradise Island in the exotic Bahamas. The direct buy-in is $1,000 and the project prize pool is around $14.5 million.
Unlike in previous installments, the 2010 Caribbean Adventure will not just be one single event, but a whole series comprised of 50 events leading up to the coveted main event, making this a full-fledged Festival of Poker. Among the events other than the main event are the high-rollers event, the World Cup of Poker, a Battleship Multi-Table Tournament and another Battleship Heads-Up Tournament, along with events in more obscure poker variants like the increasingly popular Badugi.
Satellites into the PokerStars European Poker Tour Caribbean Adventure are running now and throughout the rest of this 2009 year. Then at the event itself PokerStars will continue offering satellites, this time live super satellites, into the main event. Online players, in the meantime, can get in on the action for as little as 111 Frequent Player Points or $2.22, and going up to 500 Frequent Player Points or $7.50.
