Poker Stars Hosts Balkan Poker Festival

The PokerStars Balkan Poker Festival has almost arrived. The Grand Final of the Balkan Poker Tour, the 2010 BPF (as it’s called for short) will take place at the Golden Sands Black Sea Resort, which is right near Varna, Bulgaria, September 2 – 5, 2010. And seats in the main event are still up for grabs via satellite tournaments going on now at PokerStars.

PokerStars is running Balkan Poker Festival Golden Sands satellite tournaments now, for a variety of buy-in levels. In addition to the full BPF Golden Sands prize package that comes with the €990 (€900+€90) buy-in for the main event, a 5-night stay at the five-star Melia Grand Hermitage Hotel, plus €230 cash for travelling expenses, Poker Stars is also holding Seat Only satellite tournaments, which, just as they sound, award only seats in the main event without any of the extras, like accommodations.

The 2010 BPF Golden Sands marks the premiere PokerStars tournament event to be held in Bulgaria. The expected turnout is a player pool of about 200, from all across Europe. Along with the regular prize pool up for grabs, the champion of the 2010 Balkan Poker Festival Golden Sands Main Event will win a Season 7 EPT Prague prize package as a bonus (which will be happening between December 13 and 18 for a direct buy-in of €5,000 + 350.)

While the PokerStars BPF Golden Sands 2010 satellite tournament winners are staying in Varna, they’ll enjoy playing in Bulgaria’s largest poker room at the Grand Hotel Casino International.

To register for the 2010 PokerStars Balkan Poker Festival Golden Sands satellite tournaments, just go into your PokerStars lobby, and first click “Tourney”, then click “Events” and you’ll see it.
