Poker Stars Launches North American Poker Tour
Poker Stars, creators and sponsors of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), the European Poker Tour (EPT), the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT), the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), and others have just added yet another live poker tournament series to their annual schedule, that being the North American Poker Tour (NAPT).
The first event on the inaugural NAPT schedule is the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), also a part of the EPT. So far two other sites have already been announced as stops on the NAPT circuit, those being the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and the Venetian in Las Vegas.
NAPT Venetian is scheduled for February 20 to 24. NAPT Mohegan Sun is scheduled for April 7 to 11. Both events will have $5,000 buy-in main events and an assortment of side events similar to those of the PCA.
The NAPT Venetian will also be a part of the casino’s Deep Stack Extravaganze I series, while the NAPT Mohegan Sun is a part of a whole new poker festival the casino will now be sponsoring with buy-ins ranging from $200 all the way up to $25,000.
Although the PCA is already underway, you can win a free seat in one of these other NAPT Season 1 events through satellites running at Poker Stars now.
Since it’s so hard for players in the U.S. to find good poker tournament series action, the creation of the PokerStars North American Poker Tour is good news to U.S. players in particular.
