Titan Poker ECOOP V Starts Today

The 5th European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP V) gets underway today over at Titan Poker, starting with a $250,000 guaranteed NL Holdem event. A 14 day series with one poker tournament event per day, one of the things that makes the European Championship of Online Poker stand out is the proportion of Omaha events in the series.

Most big online poker tournaments nowadays have one or two Omaha events, and the rest are most Holdem, most of those No Limit Holdem. But at Titan Poker, there are 4 – and four different kinds of Omaha at that: there’s Pot Limit, Hi/Lo, 6-max, and R/A (rebuy/add-on). All the Omaha events have guaranteed prize pools ranging in the $100,000 to $150,000 range.

But there are events with much steeper guaranteed prize pools than that. There are two $500,000 NL Holdem events sandwiched into the middle of the series, a high-rollers one on Day 8, November 30, for $2,600, and a low(er)-rollers one the day before, Day 7, November 29, for $535.

There is as much variety in the Holdem events too as there are in the Omaha events. With turbo, R/A, 6-max, and Limit events.

The main event of the TitanPoker ECOOP V is on Sunday, December 6 and has a $1.5 million prize pool. Buy-in is $1,580.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 24, is Day 2 of ECOOP V: a $50,000 guaranteed Limit 7 Card Stud event, the only Stud event of the series. The buy-in is $258.
