Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker Roll Out New 7 Deuce Cash Tables With Big Promo

Written by James Washington

Players at Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet Poker will notice a new poker game offered at their cash ring game tables, 2-7 Holdem, or as the two sites comprising the CEREUS Poker Network call it 7 Deuce Holdem. Now the lowest hand in poker can earn you the biggest wins, with one of poker’s (and 2009 November Niner Phil Ivey’s) favorite games.

In order to play at a UB or AP 7 Deuce cash table, you’ve got to pay a side bet (also known as a “prop bet”) of one-and-a-half to two times the big blind. The prop bet is then paid out anytime someone wins a hand holding 2-7 in the hole. What’s more, anytime a player accomplishes that, they earn a point on the 7 Deuce Leaderboard.

The 7 Deuce Leaderboard is being rolled out with a special two-week promotion that awards a share of $500 daily to the top low-stakes players on the 7 Deuce Daily Leaderboard (or $50 ea.) and $1,000 to the top 10 high-stakes players on the board (or $100 ea.). On top of that, at the end of the 15-day promotion – running August 2 to 16 – the top 100 players on the cumulative 7 Deuce Final Leaderboard in each stakes range (200 players total) will compete in a $5,000 7 Deuce Final Leaderboard Freeroll.

But that’s not even the best part: Every 7-2 hand dealt during the promotional period will be logged by the sites. The 10 players winning the most hands with 7-2 as their hole cards in each of the two stakes levels will split $27,500.
