New Women of Online Poker: Obrestad Joins Full Tilt,

Full Tilt Poker and Bodog Poker have each signed up a new female pro poker player to their respective elite teams.

The newest face of Team Full Tilt is Annette Obrestad, the 21-year-old wunderkind of poker who had to leave her Betfair sponsorship behind when the UK forbade the site to post ads bearing her image as she is under 25 years of age, the minimum age a person needs to be to legalize advertise for gambling in the UK. No matter – the UK’s loss is the US’s gain; Betfair’s loss, Full Tilt’s gain. Obrestad got her start in online poker as Annette_15, but now that she’s of legal age to play live poker for real money in the U.S. she’s become quite a force to reckon with offline as well. Already, though, she sports a gold bracelet from the WOSP Europe.

Meanwhile over at Bodog Poker, the recent WPT World Championship winner David Williams has left his sponsorship deal with the site, his shoes beside sole remaining Team BodogPoker representative Evelyn Ng being filled by Amanada Musumeci (aka “manderbutt” and “BodogMander”). Musumeci not only got her start too online, but got it specifically at Bodog Poker.

Among Musumeci’s recent poker achievements were a third place finish in a PokerStars $100K Guarantee and another third place finish in a Full Tilt Poker $150K Guarantee. With a lifetime career winnings currently at more than $175,000 and the tutelage of pro female poker predecessor Anna Wroblewski who she met at an Aussie Millions Poker Championship one year.
