2009 WSOP Main Event Final Table Broadcast Tomorrow

If you’ve been watching ESPN lately, you’ve been catching up on the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event, the final table for which is about to air live tomorrow night, Tuesday, November 10 from 9 – 11 pm. In case you haven’t been watching, here is a little refresher on this year’s November Nine, the 9 players lucky and skillful enough to make it to the 2009 WSOP Main Event Final Table, and compete for the $10 million grand prize.

Those players are:

1. chip leader but otherwise underdog (when it comes to skill and experience) Davin Moon
2. least favored Steven Begleiter, the already rich and reckless with the smallest cheering squad
3. online wunderkind Joe Cada, who scored big wins warming up at Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars
4. the “other” young gun (to go by the media), Eric Buchman, actually a $1 million plus lifetime winner in live play
5. and 6. short stacks but European fan favorites, at least Antoine Saout of France and James Akenhead of France are better players than the real underdog at this felt
7. the human interest story, Kevin Schaffel, picture granddad hitting the lottery
8. the “other” pro, Jeff Shulman, overshadowed in the spotlight by Ivey, which may be to his advantage
9. Phil Ivey. Come on, who could deny how cool it would be to see him come from behind and wipe up the table with everyone.

Also during the live ESPN broadcast of the 2009 WSOP Main Event Final Table will be the ceremony for Mike Sexton’s induction into the Poker Hall of Fame.
