American Express And Online Poker Sites

‘American Express’ and high stakes poker go together like peanut butter and jelly.  For the serious poker player, it can be difficult to find an online poker site that accepts American Express deposits though.  Very few online poker sites accept American Express as a poker deposit method.  It is not impossible to find an American Express poker site though.  There is currently one online poker room that accepts AmEx as a valid deposit method.

My Experience Using American Express

(April 8th, 2009)  I made a test deposit on using an American Express card at Lockpoker.com.  I called Ignition Poker customer support  and asked if I could use my AmEx card to make a deposit.  Customer support was polite and helpful.  They asked me a few security questions and then processed my American Express deposit verbally.  The whole process took less than 10 minutes.   I was actually a bit surprised how easy it was to use my AmEx card for online poker.
