Progressive Jackpot for Online Poker? New Software Developer Says Yes

Progressive Jackpot for Online Poker? New Software Developer Says YesAnother online poker software publisher is throwing their hat into the ring with a new twist to online poker. Progressive Jackpots. Castle Technologies is bringing a concept that is old hat in the online casino market to poker players around the globe.  I’m not sure how this is supposed to be implemented, but we already have bad beat and high hand jackpots in online poker.  An online poker progressive jackpot sounds interesting, but I’m not sure what will be different.  I have sent an email to CT for further clarification, and will update when I hear a response.

On a side note, it looks like investors are pretty excited about Castle Technologies’ online poker software offering.  Their stock (CSTL.PK) more than doubled today from $0.015 per share to close at $0.035 per share in one day’s trading.  I’ll keep you updated if any online poker rooms decide to use their poker platform.

Press release:

SILVERDALE, Wash., Oct 9, 2008 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) — Castle Technologies, Inc. The online poker industry is growing at a phenomenal rate. Today there are more than 200 online poker Web sites in operation, and more than 370,500 people play for real money every day.

Castle Technologies’ patent-pending software is distinct in its ability to provide progressive jackpots within the game itself, creating the same excitement experienced in actual casinos and poker tournaments. Castle Technologies’ software will provide all of the features normally associated with online gaming such as player account maintenance, chat capability and state-of-the-art graphics. The Company offers more features than traditional online casinos, including easy-to-navigate Web pages, the latest in Web animation and straight forward betting actions with the ability to play multiple games at the same time.
